SUMMERVILLE, S.C. (WCIV) —
Summerville High School and Gregg Middle School both were on lockdown for a brief time Friday for reports of a suspicious person in the area.
Pat Raynor, spokesperson for Dorchester School District 2, says the schools were placed on precautionary lockdown at 12:30 p.m. Friday when a suspicious person was seen in the Orangeburg Road area.
Raynor says law enforcement investigated, and found a person with a pellet gun.
The situation has been resolved and the lockdowns at both schools were lifted as of 1:05 p.m., Raynor says.
